There are many examples for block codes. Some of them are Hamming codes, Hadamard Codes, Golay codes, cyclic codes, BCH codes, Reed Solomon codes etc. Hamming codes are among the first of the non trivial error correction codes. These codes are used for error correction. Hadamard codes are obtained by selecting as code words the rows of a Hadamard matrix, which is a matrix of 1s and 0s. Golay codes are linear binary codes with a minimum distance of seven and a error correction capability of three bits. Cyclic codes are a subset of the class of linear codes which satisfy the cyclic property.
